 یہ آیت سورۂ بقرہ کی آیت نمبر 7 ہے: "خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ ...

 یہ آیت سورۂ بقرہ کی آیت نمبر 7 ہے:

"خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ"

ترجمہ:

"اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر اور ان کی سماعت پر مہر لگا دی ہے اور ان کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ہے، اور ان کے لیے بڑا عذاب ہے۔"

پس منظر:

یہ آیت ان لوگوں کے بارے میں ہے جو حق کو جاننے کے باوجود اسے تسلیم نہیں کرتے اور ضد اور تکبر کی بنا پر اللہ کی آیات کو جھٹلاتے ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ ایسے لوگوں کے دل، کان، اور آنکھیں حق کو سننے، دیکھنے اور سمجھنے سے محروم کر دی گئی ہیں، جس کے نتیجے میں وہ صحیح راستے پر نہیں آ سکتے اور ان کے لیے آخرت میں شدید عذاب تیار کیا گیا ہے۔

یہ مہر لگانا دراصل ان کی مسلسل نافرمانی اور حق سے انکار کا نتیجہ ہے، جو ان کے دلوں اور حسّیات کو  اس قابل نہیں رہنے دیتا کہ وہ سچائی کو پہچان سکیں۔

 

تفسیر سورہ بقرہ آیت نمبر 7:
"خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ"

تفسیر:

اس آیت میں اللہ تعالیٰ ان لوگوں کی حالت بیان فرما رہا ہے جو حق کو جاننے اور پہچاننے کے باوجود ضد، حسد اور کفر کی بنا پر اسے قبول نہیں کرتے۔ اللہ نے ان کے دلوں، کانوں اور آنکھوں پر پردے ڈال دیے ہیں، تاکہ وہ حق کو نہ سمجھ سکیں، نہ سن سکیں، اور نہ دیکھ سکیں۔

"خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ" (اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دی):

یہاں "مہر" لگانے کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ ان کے دلوں میں ہدایت قبول کرنے کی صلاحیت ختم ہو چکی ہے۔ یہ مہر ان کی اپنی ضد اور مسلسل نافرمانی کا نتیجہ ہے۔ چونکہ یہ لوگ بار بار حق کو جھٹلاتے رہے اور ہدایت سے منہ موڑتے رہے، اللہ نے ان کے دلوں کو ہدایت سے محروم کر دیا، اور اب وہ مزید ہدایت قبول کرنے کے قابل نہیں رہے۔

"وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ" (اور ان کے کانوں پر مہر لگا دی):

ان کے کان ایسے ہو چکے ہیں کہ وہ حق کی بات سننا نہیں چاہتے۔ جب ان کے سامنے حق کی بات کی جاتی ہے، تو وہ نہ صرف اس سے نفرت کرتے ہیں بلکہ اسے قبول کرنے سے بھی انکار کر دیتے ہیں۔ اللہ نے ان کے کانوں پر ایسی مہر لگا دی ہے کہ اب وہ حق بات کو سن کر بھی اثر قبول نہیں کرتے۔

"وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ" (اور ان کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ہے):

ان کی آنکھیں اس قابل نہیں رہیں کہ وہ حق کو دیکھ سکیں۔ یہ پردہ حقیقت کے دیکھنے اور سمجھنے کی صلاحیت کو ختم کر دیتا ہے۔ گویا ان کی آنکھیں کھلی ہونے کے باوجود اندھی ہو چکی ہیں اور وہ اللہ کی نشانیاں دیکھنے سے قاصر ہیں۔

"وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ" (اور ان کے لیے بڑا عذاب ہے):

یہ ان لوگوں کے لیے آخرت میں شدید اور عظیم عذاب کی خبر ہے۔ چونکہ انہوں نے دنیا میں حق کو رد کیا اور کفر اختیار کیا، اس لیے آخرت میں انہیں اللہ کی طرف سے سخت عذاب کا سامنا کرنا ہوگا۔

مزید وضاحت:

اس آیت کا مقصد یہ بتانا ہے کہ جب کوئی شخص بار بار حق کو جھٹلاتا ہے اور اللہ کے احکام کی نافرمانی کرتا ہے، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے دل، کان اور آنکھوں پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے۔ یہ حالت ان کے مسلسل انکار کا نتیجہ ہے، اور یہ اللہ کی طرف سے ایک سزا ہے تاکہ وہ اب ہدایت کی طرف لوٹنے کی صلاحیت کھو دیں۔ یہ مہر یا پردہ ان کی گمراہی کی انتہائی حالت کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔

علماء کرام کے مطابق، یہ اللہ کا قانون ہے کہ جو لوگ مسلسل گمراہی میں مبتلا رہتے ہیں اور ہدایت کو رد کرتے ہیں، ان کے دل سخت ہو جاتے ہیں۔ جب ان کے دل سخت ہو جاتے ہیں، تو ان کے دل، کان، اور آنکھیں حق کو سمجھنے سے محروم ہو جاتی ہیں۔

یہ آیت ایک تنبیہ ہے کہ انسان کو چاہیے کہ وہ اللہ کی ہدایت کے لیے دل، کان، اور آنکھیں کھلی رکھے، تاکہ وہ سچائی کو پہچان سکے اور اس پر عمل کر سکے۔

Tafsir of Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 7:

"خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ"

Translation: "Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their eyes is a veil. And for them is a great punishment."

Tafsir:

In this verse, Allah is describing the condition of people who, despite knowing the truth, reject it out of arrogance, pride, and continuous disobedience. As a result of their persistent denial, Allah has sealed their hearts, ears, and eyes, making them incapable of accepting guidance.

"خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوبِهِمْ" (Allah has set a seal upon their hearts):

This refers to a spiritual state where their hearts have been sealed from receiving guidance. The "seal" signifies that their hearts are no longer receptive to the truth because of their own persistent rejection of it. Their ability to understand and accept the message of Allah is blocked as a result of their constant denial and rebelliousness. This sealing is a consequence of their own actions, where repeated disobedience and sin have rendered their hearts unable to absorb the truth.

"وَعَلٰى سَمْعِهِمْ" (and upon their hearing):

Their ears are sealed in the sense that they are no longer willing or able to listen to guidance. Even when the truth is presented to them, they refuse to hear it or let it penetrate their understanding. This symbolizes their deliberate choice to turn away from the message of truth, and thus Allah has sealed their hearing, preventing them from benefiting from any righteous advice.

"وَعَلٰى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ" (and over their eyes is a veil):

The veil over their eyes means that they are unable to see the signs of Allah around them. Despite the clear evidence of the truth in the world, such as the creation, the miracles of nature, and the revelations of Allah, they are spiritually blind. This blindness is not physical but rather a metaphorical blindness, indicating that they have chosen to ignore or overlook the truth. The "veil" blocks them from recognizing and understanding the reality of the divine message.

"وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ" (and for them is a great punishment):

As a result of their refusal to accept the truth and their persistent disobedience, these individuals are promised a severe punishment in the Hereafter. This great punishment is a direct consequence of their rejection of guidance and their turning away from the message of Allah.

Further Explanation:

This verse highlights the concept of divine retribution in response to a person’s stubborn refusal to accept the truth. When someone repeatedly turns away from the guidance of Allah, choosing instead to follow their own desires or arrogance, they become spiritually numb. Allah, in response, places a seal on their hearts and senses, which leads them further away from the path of righteousness.

This "sealing" is not arbitrary but rather a result of their continuous disobedience and rejection of the truth. It reflects a form of divine justice, where those who choose to blind themselves to the truth are ultimately rendered incapable of perceiving it.

Lessons from the Verse:

1. Spiritual Responsibility: It is important for individuals to keep their hearts, ears, and eyes open to the guidance of Allah. A persistent rejection of the truth leads to spiritual blindness and hardness of the heart.

2. Divine Consequence: The sealing of the heart, hearing, and sight is a divine punishment for those who continuously reject the truth, signaling that they have reached a point where they are incapable of accepting guidance.

3. Warning for Believers: This verse serves as a warning to not become complacent or arrogant in the face of Allah’s guidance. Continuous neglect of Allah’s signs can lead to spiritual death, where one loses the ability to recognize and follow the truth.

In conclusion, this ayah speaks about those who have willfully chosen to reject Allah’s message and are now incapable of receiving further guidance, resulting in a severe punishment awaiting them in the Hereafter. It is a reminder of the importance of staying open to the truth and responding positively to divine guidance.
