Translation:
"In their hearts is a disease, so Allah increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they used to lie." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:10)

تفسیر:
یہ آیت سورہ البقرہ کی ہے اور منافقین کے رویے کی وضاحت کرتی ہے۔ منافقین وہ لوگ ہیں جو ظاہری طور پر ایمان کا اظہار کرتے ہیں لیکن دل سے مخلص نہیں ہوتے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ ان کے دلوں میں ایک بیماری ہے۔ اس بیماری سے مراد روحانی اور اخلاقی بیماری ہے، جیسے کہ نفاق (دکھاوا) اور کینہ۔ یہ وہ بیماری ہے جو انسان کو ایمان کی روشنی سے دور رکھتی ہے اور اسے گمراہی میں مبتلا کرتی ہے۔

"فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضًۭا" میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ ان کی اس بیماری کو اور بڑھا دیا گیا ہے۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ جب انسان حق کو چھوڑ کر اپنی مرضی کی پیروی کرتا ہے اور سچائی سے منہ موڑ لیتا ہے، تو اللہ اس کی بیماری اور گمراہی کو مزید بڑھا دیتا ہے۔ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے ان کے کفر اور نفاق کے سبب سزا کی صورت میں ہے۔
"وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ" سے مراد یہ ہے کہ ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب تیار ہے۔ یہ عذاب ان کے جھوٹ بولنے، دھوکہ دینے اور حق سے انکار کرنے کے بدلے میں ہے۔ منافقین کی خاص عادت یہ ہے کہ وہ زبان سے ایمان کا دعویٰ کرتے ہیں، لیکن دل سے کفر اور جھوٹ پر قائم رہتے ہیں۔
"بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْذِبُونَ" یعنی کہ یہ عذاب ان کے جھوٹ بولنے کی وجہ سے ہے۔ یہ ان لوگوں کا انجام ہے جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے احکامات کو جھٹلاتے ہیں اور دھوکے میں مبتلا رہتے ہیں۔ اس آیت میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں اخلاص اور سچائی کی طرف رہنمائی دی ہے اور منافقت اور جھوٹ سے بچنے کی تاکید کی ہے۔
Tafseer (Explanation):
This verse from Surah Al-Baqarah describes the condition of the hypocrites (munafiqeen) and their inner state. Hypocrites are those who outwardly claim to believe, but their hearts are not sincere. Allah states that there is a "disease" in their hearts. This disease refers to a spiritual and moral sickness, such as hypocrisy, jealousy, or insincerity, which keeps them away from the light of faith and leads them further into misguidance.
"فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ" ("In their hearts is a disease") means that they carry doubt, hypocrisy, and a love for falsehood in their hearts. This "disease" inclines them toward disbelief and dishonesty, making it difficult for them to embrace the truth.
