وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ ءَامِنُوا۟ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٣
یہ سورۃ البقرہ کی آیت نمبر 13 ہے:
ترجمہ:
"اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ ایمان لاؤ جیسے اور لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں، تو وہ کہتے ہیں: 'کیا ہم بھی اسی طرح ایمان لے آئیں جس طرح بے وقوف ایمان لائے ہیں؟' خبردار ہو جاؤ! بے شک وہی لوگ بے وقوف ہیں، لیکن وہ (اس بات کو) نہیں جانتے۔"
This is Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 13:
Translation:
"And when it is said to them, 'Believe as the people have believed,' they say, 'Shall we believe as the fools have believed?' Unquestionably, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know."
تفسیر:
یہ آیت سورۃ البقرہ کی ہے، جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ منافقین کی حالت اور ان کے دلوں میں موجود کفر اور استہزاء کی کیفیت کو بیان کر رہے ہیں۔ جب ان منافقوں سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ تم بھی ایمان لے آؤ جیسے دوسرے لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں (یعنی صحابہ کرامؓ اور مخلص مومنین کی طرح)، تو وہ اپنی انا اور غرور کی بنا پر جواب دیتے ہیں کہ "کیا ہم بھی اسی طرح ایمان لائیں جیسے یہ نادان اور کم عقل لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں؟"
منافقین کے نزدیک مخلص مسلمانوں کو نادان اور بے وقوف سمجھا جاتا تھا، کیونکہ وہ اللہ اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بات پر دل و جان سے ایمان لے آئے تھے اور اپنی زندگی، مال، اور خواہشات کو اللہ کی راہ میں قربان کرنے کے لیے تیار تھے۔ یہ چیز منافقین کو بے وقوفی محسوس ہوتی تھی، کیونکہ ان کے دل میں ایمان کا نور اور حقیقت سے ناواقفیت تھی۔
اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے جواب میں فرماتے ہیں کہ حقیقت میں یہ منافقین ہی بے وقوف ہیں، مگر انہیں اس بات کا شعور نہیں ہے۔ ان کا اصلی حماقت یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنی دنیاوی مفادات اور اپنی انا کو دین کے مقابلے میں ترجیح دیتے ہیں اور اس بات کو نہیں سمجھتے کہ آخرت میں کامیابی صرف اور صرف ایمان اور اخلاص سے ہے۔
یہ آیت ہمیں یہ درس دیتی ہے کہ ایمان کے تقاضے کبھی کبھی ہماری دنیاوی خواہشات اور عادات سے مختلف ہوتے ہیں، اور ہمیں اپنے ایمان کو مضبوط کرنے کے لیے اللہ اور اس کے رسولؐ کی تعلیمات پر عمل کرنا چاہیے، چاہے دنیاوی نظر سے کچھ لوگ ہمیں نادان یا بے وقوف سمجھیں۔
Explanation (Tafseer):
This verse from Surah Al-Baqarah highlights the mindset of the hypocrites (munafiqeen) and their internal disbelief and arrogance. When the hypocrites are told to believe as the others (the true believers, such as the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) have believed, they respond with disdain, saying, "Should we believe like these foolish people?"
To the hypocrites, sincere believers appeared foolish because they had wholeheartedly accepted the message of Allah and His Prophet ﷺ, even sacrificing their wealth, desires, and lives for the sake of Allah. The hypocrites, who were more concerned with worldly benefits and social status, found such devotion and sacrifice to be naive or foolish.
In response, Allah declares that, in reality, these hypocrites are the true fools, but they are unaware of their own ignorance. Their foolishness lies in prioritizing their worldly gains and pride over faith, not realizing that true success lies in sincere belief and submission to Allah, which brings eternal rewards in the Hereafter.
This verse serves as a reminder that true faith often requires going against worldly desires and opinions. A believer should be prepared to follow Allah’s guidance, even if it seems strange or foolish to others focused only on worldly gains. It teaches us the importance of sincere belief, even if society views it with misunderstanding or contempt.
